PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Malone O’Regan was retained by Rye Valley Foods as Overall Project Manager and Civil and Structural Engineer for the construction of the plant which comprises circa 7,000m² on a green field site with flexibility for future expansion. The facility included a wide range of specialist machinery which had to be installed at various stages of building within a fast track construction programme in accordance with planning approval and stringent building regulations. Furthermore, as a food production plant, strict legislative and hygiene demanded a clear understanding of the issues of segregated circulation, the selection of appropriate food grade materials temperature and humidity control and finishing details.
