Project Description
The Pembroke Kilkenny is located on the site of the old Statham’s Garage where the famous Statham-Ford special was developed and built to race successfully in a number of Grand Prix. This brownfield site on Patrick Street was developed in the early 2000’s into a 4 Star Boutique Hotel whilst retaining links to it’s historic past. Malone O’Regan were the Civil and Structural Engineers for the development which included the construction of a part basement next to existing structures and significant reinforced concrete structures to carry four floors of bedrooms, some with fantastic views of the famous Kilkenny Castle over dining and function rooms. Following completion of the Hotel a two storey dedicated business centre was added to the offering. The operator has continued to modify and improve the offering over the intervening years and Malone O’Regan have been retained as Civil and Structural Engineers for all building modifications to date.
