Malone O’Regan Consulting Engineers are seeking to recruit a Senior Architectural / Structural BIM Technician to join our Waterford Office. The role involves working with blue-chip clients and a variety of sectors including Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Commercial and Healthcare sectors. The position offers the opportunity to act as a BIM specialist and to lead BIM delivery on key projects whilst working with a high degree of autonomy. The position would be suited for a motivated, practical and an ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career in the area of digital design in construction.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality 3D models using Autodesk Revit and the production of 2D documentation
- Manage and co-ordinate multidisciplinary models (clash detection and spatial coordination) and represent Malone O’Regan at BIM coordination meetings
- Act as an Appointed Party for projects, as described in I.S. EN ISO 19650
- Apply BIM company standards and implement I.S. EN ISO 19650
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver challenging, large-scale projects efficiently
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior BIM/Revit staff
- Consultant Liaison – Act as a key contact with Architects, engineers and contractors
Key Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology or a related field
- Advanced skills in Revit and AutoCAD are essential
- Experience in producing high quality renders using Autodesk Revit, including lighting, material textures and high-resolution output
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and building standards.
- Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills
- A good team player
- Knowledge and experience using Common Data Environments
- Efficient time management and committed to project deadlines
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role
- Irish / UK experience is a distinct advantage
