Malone O’Regan Consulting Engineers are looking for high quality Graduate Civil & Structural Engineers to join our teams in Waterford and Dublin. As part of your graduate programme with Malone O’Regan, you will be supported by a mentor to help you develop the skills, confidence and professional experience needed to commence your engineering career. The Graduate role is ideally suited to a motivated and ambitious engineer who is keen to achieve Chartered Engineer status in their career.
Responsibilities
Work under the direction of a Senior or Chartered Engineer
Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, Design Standards, Irish Building Regulations and other relevant standards
Develop sustainable design solutions for the built environment
Produce design calculations, specifications and construction drawings and schedules
Attend site and project meetings
Communicate and liaise with colleagues, Architects, external consultants, local authorities and clients
Carry out site inspections and prepare inspection reports
Assist with the preparation of building control and statutory documents
Assist with the preparation of planning application documents and drawings
Key Qualifications and Skills
Honours Degree or Master’s in Civil / Structural Engineering or related qualification
Gained experience working in the engineering / construction sector (college placement or summer work)
Familiar with Eurocode Design Standards and design in concrete, steel, masonry and timber
Working knowledge of some or all of the following; MasterSeries; Causeway Drainage; Civil 3D; Site 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, Bluebeam, Word and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication. Fluent in English.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
