PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Malone O’Regan has been providing consultancy services to Glanbia for almost 40 years on many of it’s sites and this project was undertaken on the Glanbia Ballyragget site in Ireland, one of the largest Milk Processing Plants in Europe. The works included a new Processing Building, interconnections with existing adjoining buildings, alterations to existing buildings and external works including road diversions, marshalling areas, truck holding and parking areas, a new refrigeration plant, bunded silos, drainage works and alterations to the wastewater treatment plant. Due to the location of the works within the existing Milk Processing Plant and the ongoing operations in the area, the project had to be undertaken in a very short time period and the facilities were handed over to Glanbia on a phased basis. This required careful management of construction activities within a live operational environment and involved continuous intensive engagement with the Glanbia project management and production teams throughout the entire project.
